I attended the Elin Kling for Marciano capsule collection launch party at Home Studio Inc. in New York City. The ultra glamorous event included famous guests like Olivia Palermo, Amy Astley, Katie Cassidy, Katrina Bowden and more. 

Elin Kling, a well known Swedish fashion blogger created a fabulous limited edition women’s capsule collection for Marciano. The collection was inspired by the style of matadors and classic Spanish femininity. It was a perfect combination of Elin's style and Marciano's aesthetic.

I stopped by the Helios & Luna showroom to preview their new Spring 2013 collection which was filled with many popular trends like bright colors, sheer materials, peplum skirts as well flower print pants.

The brand’s designer Patricia Clyne gave me the inside scoop on her new collection.

About the Look:

Since my dress was by Synderela I built my look around a modern day princess theme. It was an easy look to put together because the dress was so reminiscent of royalty with the long coral bottom and the gorgeous slit. When I was accessorizing I wanted to keep it simple so all of the attention would be focused on the dress. I paired the look with simple black heels by Jessica Simpson and a jeweled bracelet by Kensie. The vintage sunnies were added for a glamorous touch.

I had a chance to meet so many of my favorite celebrities both in mainstream media and fashion this past Spring 2013 Fashion Week in New York . I had a brush with fashion royalty when I met Hamish Bowles, the International Editor at Large of Vogue inside the tents.

Artistry Beauty Lounge At New York Fashion Week

I was delighted to be invited to the Artistry Beauty lounge once again this season. I've been lucky to attend a few Artistry events and each just completely surpassed the next like the Artistry 5:01 party with Miss America a few months ago. This time the luxury beauty and cosmetic giant held a fabulous media lounge at the Empire Hotel during New York Fashion Week. Invited guests included editors, select fashion bloggers and media outlets.

I can always count on TRESemmé to make me look extra glamorous for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. This time I had the privilege of having my hair done by Marco Guilglimino, the super talented stylist from TRESemmé. Aside from being a TRESemmé stylist he also has his own hair salon called Marco NYC. Marco's stylings have walked the red carpet on the heads of such celebrities as Susan Sarandon, Hillary Duff and Tyra Banks, among others.

My look that day was very Elizabeth Taylor inspired right down to my black and white pearls. Marco thought loose curls would look best with my style and of course I took his recommendation. The hairstyle he created was a perfect compliment to my Elizabeth Taylor inspired look. Thank you Marco for creating such fabulous curls for me!

HTC Media Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel

I was lucky to hang out at the HTC Media Lounge in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The ultra chic invite only lounge provided the perfect escape for Fashion Bloggers and Editors in between shows. Complimentary snacks, Wi-Fi and runway show footage was provided. 

My favorite part of the lounge were extraordinary panoramic views of Manhattan which you could vividly see from the hotel's massive windows. Since the lounge was held on the 35th floor you literally felt as though you were on top of the world.  

I spent a lovely hour at the lounge with my friend Mishell, editor of L’ELITE magazine and another good friend. 

Meeting Fran Drescher at New York Fashion Week

Growing up I’ve always watched Fran Drescher on the hit show The Nanny. Never in a million years did I think that I would have a chance to meet her a decade or so later at the Reem Acra fashion show during New York Fashion Week. She was so sweet in person and her iconic laugh sounded exactly the same as it did on TV. While giving interviews she mentioned her new movie with Adam Sandler called Hotel Transylvania which recently came out.

People have always told me that I look like Fran. Perhaps it’s the fact that we’re both Jewish with European features. I absolutely love this photo of us after the Reem Acra fashion show. Our contrasting dress colors made a perfect match for the picture. (I'm wearing a dress by Eliza J)

A day after meeting Fran I had dream that I guest-starred on her current TV show called Happily Divorced. Perhaps it was wishful dreaming but looking back at my past experiences as a fashion blogger I definitely have to say that even the craziest ambitions and dreams can come true!

Betsey Johnson Fashion Show and 70th Birthday Party

One of the most exciting events for me during Fashion Week was the Betsey Johnson fashion show and 70th birthday party. 

I’ve always been such a huge fan of Betsey Johnson and dreamed of being invited to see her fashion show. My dream officially came true when I received the below email invitation! 

Macy's Fashion Week Lounge at The Empire Hotel

Macy's held a fabulous lounge at the Empire Hotel for the first time during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. I'm a huge fan of Macy's and was beyond excited to attend. Highlights of the lounge included countless designer shoes, a sneak peak at Nicole Richie's new Impulse collection for Macy's, delicious assortment of cheese hors d'oeuvres and champagne. 

My Flower Child Experience With That Madonna Girl

I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle Madonna, the designer behind "That Madonna Girl" at the Daily Style Sessions lounge during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

That Madonna Girl is a free spirited lifestyle and accessories brand specializing in luxury flower headpieces for the flower child at heart. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Julianne Hough are just a few celebrities that have worn T M G.

Each flower piece is delicately made with luxurious materials that can dress up any look. While perusing her collection I was secretly wishing I could wear one of the pieces back to Fashion Week.

Luckily, fashion fate was on my side as Michelle saw how much I adored her pieces and picked one out for me to wear! I was given the "Julia" flower piece which perfectly complimented my pink outfit.

As I went back to the Fashion Week tents I didn't anticipate how much attention I would get for my new flower accessory until the copious amount of paparazzi flashbulbs turned in my direction.

Tic Tac Mints Photo Booth at The Daily Style Sessions

Did I mention Tic Tac mints had a fun photo booth at The Daily Style Sessions lounge?! I couldn't resist doing a mini photo shoot with my Eliza J dress and flower headpiece by That Madonna Girl. 

The Daily Style Sessions: Crème De La Crème of Fashion Week Lounges

The Daily Front Row once again hosted a luxurious lounge called "The Daily Style Sessions” during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The lounge was located at the ritzy Empire Hotel rooftop where picturesque views of the city provided the perfect background.  

Guests were offered lots of fabulous treats like complimentary makeovers and manicures. You could even charge your phone while you were perusing all of the great sponsors. The lounge was a perfect retreat from my hectic schedule of shows at the tents. I had the best time relaxing, mingling and of course taking lots of pictures along the way!
