Fashion Week Hair Makeover With Celebrity Stylist Eran Edri at Francky L’Official Salon

Celebrity Hairstylist Eran Edri and me
(Wearing a dress by Bobi Los Angeles)

With only a few more days until New York Fashion Week I wanted to do something completely different with my hair. My trusted fashion friends Martha from MDollNYC.com and Eleonora from Sensationofhouse.com recommended their super talented celebrity hairstylist friend Eran Edri from the famous Francky L’Official Salon on Madison Avenue. Both beauties have been made over by Eran recently and their hair looked so flawless. Of course, I immediately reached out to Eran to see if he had any time. Luckily for me he had an opening this past Saturday! I was so excited for the opportunity to be styled by Eran for Fashion Week!

Best known for his expert layered cuts Eran’s work has attracted top designer clients, from Carmen Marc Valvo to Helmut Lang. His exquisite work has been featured in various publications including Italian Vogue, Instyle as well as seen on the runways of NY Fashion Week. Eran has trained with Frederic Fekkai and Tony & Guy, he holds certificates from Balmain, Peter Coppola, L'Oreal, and Wella.

The Francky L’Official Salon is known for having an impressive roster of clients which includes celebrities, socialites and models.

Eran greeted me like an old friend and the reality of the experience really set in. I was about to get my hair done by one of the most talented /sought after hairstylists in New York!

JCPenney's New Year, New You Fitness Event With Karina Smirnoff From Dancing With The Stars

Karina Smirnoff from Dancing with the Stars hosted JCPenney’s New Year, New You Fitness Event in JCPenney’s SoHo showroom. Guests were treated to Karina's fitness dance classes that both burned calories and taught killer moves. I was so excited to begin my first official workout regime of 2014 with the DWTS legend!

Karina and I were both dressed in JCPenney’s exclusive new Xersion and CityStreetActivewear lines.

“These clothes are comfortable, super cute and sexy, and fit the body in all the right places,” said Karina. “It’s great that JCPenney has such a wide selection for every fitness level. I want a set in every color!”

Fellow DWTS Dancer Henry Byalikov also brought his expertise to the floor teaching salsa and high-octane routines to the excited participants.

Best Memories Of 2013 + Happy New Year!

(Meeting Liam Hemsworth at the HUGO BOSS NYC Flagship store party definitely tops my list of epic moments from the past year!)

Happy New Year my dearest readers! I’m so excited to see where my fashion career will take me in 2014. To celebrate the start of the New Year I wanted to reflect on the memories of the past year.

My favorite moments were full of glamorous dresses, extraordinary soirées, meeting fascinating people and new business opportunities.

Aside from the good memories there were also times where I wanted to completely give up on fashion. But, miraculously each time I went through a rough patch something always pushed me to continue whether it was a great press mention for my blog, encouragement from friends and family, or a new business opportunity. Of course, the best source of inspiration was emails from my readers asking fashion questions or letting me know that I inspired them.

This past year I also had a pretty sad breakup. My friends have joked that my life sometimes mirrors Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. Perhaps they’re right?!

All of the experiences both good and bad have definitely influenced me in my personal style. I took some pretty daring fashion risks this past year and I don’t regret any of them. It’s very cliche to say but fashion has always been in my blood. The clothes I wear are a reflection of my personality. Sometimes, I can be classic like Audrey Hepburn and other times I love a bolder look like Daphne Guinness.

I’ve learned that life is about living ‘epically’ and taking risks both personally and professionally. It’s about following your heart and going after your dreams and not listening to anyone who tells you you’re not good enough. I hope to accomplish a lot in 2014 and of course document every moment of my fashion adventures as The Style Socialite. :)
