Wearing A Custom Made Dress by K. L. Tyree to New York Fashion Week

This past Summer a budding and wildly talented designer named Kristin Tyree reached out to me and offered to dress me for September Fashion Week. It’s perhaps every girl’s dream to be dressed for one of the biggest fashion events in the world. I couldn’t have been more excited and honored for the opportunity to wear a custom made piece from Kristin’s couture line, K. L. Tyree.

Leading up to the big day Kristin emailed me a sketch of her idea of my look. I was instantly impressed with her eye for detail and keen attention to how a dress should compliment a women’s body.

Although a new designer, her concept and excecution of my dress was well beyond her years in the industry.

Kristin Tyree was born in a small, history-rich town in Pennsylvania, with dreams of succeeding in multiple fields of science. After encouragement from a special teacher, Kristin discovered her artistic talents. Her dreams of becoming a scientist quickly evolved into becoming a published author.

Once Kristin moved on to high school, a series of life-changing events altered her career goals, and she decided to move forth into the fashion industry. She is expected to graduate from undergrad school in March 2015, and is applying to Parsons for grad school for Fall 2015.

Her ultimate goal is to go into couture and ready-to-wear, assisting women in feeling beautiful and realizing the beauty that surrounds them.

The Style Socialite Hosts An End of Fashion Week Party At The Highline Ballroom

Dress by Luis Buchinho and shoes by abcense from The Style Chamber
(Giving me best fierce pose in these cool designer pieces)

I can’t believe another Fashion Week has come and gone. This season I was thrilled that my blog was one of the promoted hosts for an end of Fashion Week party at the Highline Ballroom.

My friends at The Style Chamber sent over a special delivery of dresses and shoes all the way from Abu Dhabi for me to wear to New York Fashion Week. I was so happy to receive the package just in time for my big event that evening.
