Exciting news! For the first time I will be representing myself and my site TheStyleSocialite.com at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York after years of writing for someone else.
It’s so amazing to think that my first time at New York Fashion Week was handing out magazines for WWD when I first started college. I was so excited to just BE at New York Fashion Week that I didn’t care what I did to get in as long as I was there. While standing on my feet during the 4 hour shifts handing out magazines to invited guests I said to myself that a few years from now I will be one of those people that was actually ‘important’ enough to be recognized and invited to the shows at New York Fashion Week.
Following my internship at WWD I was lucky to write for a few magazines which granted me entry into the tents but this particular Fashion Week will be extra special for me since the invites are to my name and site.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" and I'm so happy I never gave up on mine.
