The ARTISTRY 5:01 Party was one of the first events I went to this year. It took place on Thursday January 19th at Bar Basque inside the Eventi Hotel. The party was in celebration of ARTISTRY’s newest skin care technology and included a special guest appearance by the newly crowned Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler. Guests were treated to hors d'oeuvres, specialty cocktails, beauty treatments, makeovers and more. 

I first spotted the makeup stations where several ARTISTRY makeup artists were on hand to beautify attending guests. I was lucky to have my makeup done by Luba Samrick a top ARTISTRY makeup artist who also did my make up at the last ARTISTRY event which took place during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. I still remember how incredible she made me look and of course this time was no exception. Luba used ARTISTRY’s new Fresh Radiance Cheek and Eye Quad, Blue Lagoon Eye Pencil and a hint of the Tropical Coral Lip Gloss Duo Compact.

After my makeover I felt like a beauty queen so it was only befitting that I  mingle with the real beauty queen of the event Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler. We chatted for a bit about her recent win and her busy but exciting upcoming schedule. She was of course stunning in person and very down to earth.

I had a fabulous time at the ARTISTRY 5:01 Party and honestly almost went to sleep with my make up on because I didn’t want to wash away the beautiful ARTISTRY makeup. (I did finally take it off because I don’t sleep in makeup but it was definitely a bittersweet moment to wash it away.)
