One of my favorite things to do as a fashion blogger is attend press previews to see upcoming collections. Last week I had a chance to see Caché's Holiday 2012 collection at the Bryant Park Hotel in New York.
Caché's new Holiday collection featured stylish sweater dresses, jackets, jeans, leggings, cardigans and tanks. In addition to apparel there was also jewelry which included earrings, necklaces and bangles that were embellished with sparkling rhinestones.
One of the major trends for Holiday 2012 is going to be prints. I've seen it in a few other collections but Caché definitely has one of the best combinations like the below Chevron Belted Cardigan with faux fur on top.
Another major trend for the Holiday season is sequins. It's a repetitive trend but I'm glad it's back as there is something so festive and glamorous about wearing sequins during the Holiday's. One of my favorite sequin pieces from Caché's Holiday collection was the below Black Embellished Tank with Champagne Sequin Skirt. This skirt would definitely make a perfect addition to a New Year's outfit!
Finally, it's not the Holiday's without some velvet pieces in your closet. Caché's Velvet Floral Chemise Dress below had a great mix of details to make you the center of attention. What I love most about this look is the combination of the short skirt length with the long sleeves and covered neckline. One of my personal style rules is that if you're going to show off one part of your body then you better cover up the rest! In this case the dress does a phenomenal job of showing off your leggings while keeping the rest covered up.
I recommend pairing this dress with sheer black stockings and over-the-knee boots for the perfect Holiday look.
