Guest of a Guest held “The Guest List” party at the Jane Hotel to celebrate their 2012 NYC innovators. This year’s roster included nightlife innovators Matt Kliegman and Carlos Quirarte, restaurant innovators Mario CarboneJeff Zalaznick and Rich Torrisi, hospitality innovator Peter Lawrence, fashion innovator Leandra Medine, and technology innovators Rachel Sklar and Glynnis MacNicol

A week before the event Guest of a Guest held a contest to choose 5 winners that would get the exclusive invite to the party. To enter you had to tweet @guestofaguest with hashtag #theguestlist and #Heineken and say why they should pick you!

I tweeted the following entry “@guestofaguest I would love 2 attend the Guest List Party & write a feature 4 my fashion blog The Style Socialite! #theguestlist #heineken”

On Monday before the party I received a congratulatory Twitter response from Guest of a Guest mentioning me as 1 of the 5 chosen winners! It was such a fun surprise as I never thought I would actually win!

The following evening I was off to the historic Jane Hotel for the party. I’ve never been to this hotel before but had heard a lot about its rich history which made my visit that much more exciting!

In 1912 it was a temporary home to countless survivors of the Titanic who sought refuge there just days after the shipwreck.

Taking my first steps into the hotel felt like I was walking into a piece of history. The interior had maintained its antique look but was freshly updated with a modern Bohemian twist. There were wild stuffed animals and leafy plants all around.

I wore an Eliza J Embroidered Lace Overlay Sheath Dress which was inspired by Kate Middleton. It was such a perfect look for the evening as it went so well with the historic and mysterious ambiance of the hotel. I loved everything about the dress especially the nude color sheath under the blue lace. It gave the illusion of skin but was obviously just the fabric. I also enjoyed the V cut back which gave me the perfect opportunity for a back pose to show off my matching blue earrings.

The Guest List party was held inside the hotel's Jane Ballroom. Music was playing in the background as guests conversed on plush couches.

There were complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the table. My favorite was the selection of yummy cheese!

The Jane Ballroom was quaintly dimmed with minimal lighting and candles that illuminated the fascinating paintings and various other art-forms.

It was quite a lovely evening to say the least. Thanks again Guest of a Guest for the invitation!
