Neiman Marcus Spring Trends Luncheon with Fashion Editor Dana Prigge

Dana Prigge and me
Dana Prigge, a noted Fashion Editor invited me to her special Neiman Marcus Spring trends presentation and luncheon at Neiman Marcus in Paramus, NJ. Dana is the Editor in Chief of Dailyfashionista.com as well as a contributing columnist for Joonbug. She has appeared on Style and E! Networks, NY and Florida radio. Dana also styled looks for companies such as Charlotte Russe, Victoria’s Secret and SwimSpot.com. She attends some of the most exciting NYC events, sits at New York Fashion Week, interviews celebrities & socialites and reports on the hottest trends.

I was excited to finally meet Dana in person. We follow each other through social media but never had an opportunity to meet in real life until now.
When I arrived at the luncheon there was already a pretty big crowd of mingling fashionistas. I spotted Dana and came over to say hi and introduce myself. She was wearing a charming pink dress with a bow belt. Dana was so cordial and sweet in person. We chatted for a bit until she had to start her hosting duties.

Salad were served to guests as Dana presented her top Spring trends this season.

Some of the trends that Dana highlighted were: Florals, Arm Candy, Flirty Footwear, Colorful Clutches, Retro-sunglasses and Bowties. The presentation featured a fabulous Spring selection of accessories and clothes. My favorite look was the above print wrap dress by DVF.

Other great Spring staples included Oliver People's retro sunglasses, McQueen mirror sunglasses, Valentino Bow Patent Leather Clutch in Red, Saint Laurent Gladiator Shoe, Rachel Zoe lucite jewelry, Pop of orange Zanotti cut-out stilettos, Lavender Rebecca Minkoff cross body bag with grommet details, Balenciaga purple purse and much more!

When Dana was asked "how she got started in fashion" she told the story of her earlier days working for Lizzie Grubman (Lizzie Grubman PR) with Perez Hilton, the now super famous celebrity gossip blogger. Perez suggested that Dana start her own fashion blog since she had such an affinity for the industry.
I loved hearing about how she started in fashion but the most memorable part of her speech was her comment on how to “make it” in fashion. Dana’s advice was “It’s going to be somebody; it might as well be you.”
She was right. It is going to be something so it might as well be YOU. This was the best advice for anyone trying to make in fashion or any other industry.

The Spring trends luncheon was concluded with dessert from Magnolia Bakery which was made famous by the show Sex and the City. A yummy treat by Bellina Chocolates was also given out.

Thank you so much Dana for inviting me to your Spring trends luncheon at Neiman Marcus. It was such a pleasure to meet you and hear all about your stylish picks for Spring!

  1. Good day! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established
blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog? I'm not
very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast.

I'm thinking about creating my own but I'm not sure where to begin. Do you
have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it
