Tadashi Shoji SS12 Fashion Show: Colorful Dresses In Full Bloom

Tadashi Shoji’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection captured one of the major trends for the season which is COLOR! Lots and lots of fun colorful variations of dresses danced down the runway from his new collection. His palate included shades of magenta, yellow, purple, tangerine, white, green and black which was very minimal. Materials appeared to be delicate silks, chiffon, linen, tulle and taffeta. The show was brilliant to see as it reminded you of a visit to a beautiful garden on a warm Spring day with flowers masked as colorful dresses in full bloom. In fact some of the dress bottoms looked like dyed on flower pettles! The tailoring of each dress is something to be commended as well in this collection. Each piece was draped as though it was a piece of origami that Tadashi meticulously put together. As a girly girl at heart I’m probably a little biased towards this collection but I really just loved every single dress! Looking forward to Spring 2012...
