I was particularly excited to see the Eva Minge fashion show again this season. I had the privileged of seeing her work for the first time last year and I must say I completely fell in love! Her Spring/Summer 2012 was as fabulous as I expected it to be if not more. The show was held at the Hudson Hotel in NYC and unlike any other show I’ve attended I had a chance to see it from a balcony that overlooked the runway. High quality fabrics, ultra modern zippers and an artistic blend of cream and black colors with golden touches were the key trends presented on the catwalk. According to Minge, spring and summer are seasons full of life. The show also included the ESOTIQ line from Eva Minge which is an outwear brand, completely designed by Eva Minge, which includes lingerie and swimwear lines. The main inspiration of the new line for the Spring/Summer 2012 season is complete relaxation, or “la dolce vita.”
Many Internationally known celebrities came to see the show like “90210’s” AnnaLynne McCord. I had a chance to meet AnnaLynne after the show was finished. I look very short though because we were both walking out and silly me took off my 5 inch heels!
Other celebrities included “True Blood’s” Kristin Bauer, Actresses Tiffany Hines from “Nikita”, Chyna Lane “Precious”, Cara Santana, and Tolula Adeyemi.
Rocco Leo Gaglioti the host of Fashion News Live modeled in the show and carried the designer down the runway during her finale apperance. It was definitely one of the most unexpected and memorable moments of fashion week for me! Check out the video below.
