Recently I attended the Lands End Canvas Spring/Summer 2012 Preview. The event took place at the Highline Stages in the Meatpacking district which fit perfectly with the brand’s trendy chic vibe. As I entered the event I first noticed guests painting a large canvas on the wall. I was very tempted to paint something but opted for a quick photo instead because I was eager to see their new collection and mingle with my fellow fashion peers.
An accurate description of their Spring 2012 collection would be All-American, laid back and preppy. I was particularly smitten with their darling smock dresses and oversized floppy hat. I can definitely see myself wearing their pieces on a relaxing boat outing during the lazy days of Summer.
A band called The Wanda’s performed and set the perfect tone for the rest of the night. I felt like a groupie as made my way towards the stage and danced to the music. Overall the event was executed brilliantly from the wall painting, hors d'oeuvres, drinks, live music and overall setup of the collection.
