Growing up I’ve always watched Fran Drescher on the hit show The Nanny. Never in a million years did I think that I would have a chance to meet her a decade or so later at the Reem Acra fashion show during New York Fashion Week. She was so sweet in person and her iconic laugh sounded exactly the same as it did on TV. While giving interviews she mentioned her new movie with Adam Sandler called Hotel Transylvania which recently came out.
People have always told me that I look like Fran. Perhaps it’s the fact that we’re both Jewish with European features. I absolutely love this photo of us after the Reem Acra fashion show. Our contrasting dress colors made a perfect match for the picture. (I'm wearing a dress by Eliza J)
A day after meeting Fran I had dream that I guest-starred on her current TV show called Happily Divorced. Perhaps it was wishful dreaming but looking back at my past experiences as a fashion blogger I definitely have to say that even the craziest ambitions and dreams can come true!
