Paul Mayer Shoe Chic Cocktail Party Hosted by Fashion Blogger Christine Bibbo Herr

Christine Bibbo Herr and me

Shoes, cocktails and canapĂ©s were the prime ingredients of the fabulous Paul Mayer shoe chic cocktail party at the Jade Hotel. The event was co-hosted by Fashion Blogger Christine Bibbo Herr from nycpretty.com.

Christine was such a pleasure to meet in person. Her bubbly, down to earth personality made you want to talk to her for hours. We chatted for a good amount of time until I had to run to my next event that evening.

Paul Mayer shoes are known for their modern classic designs that take a timeless approach. They use the finest materials like supple nappas, the richest suedes, soft patent leathers, embossed reptiles and animal prints. Glamorous, sparkling fabrics, leathers and mesh are also offered for special occasion dressing. Seasonal offerings include all the fashion-right colors and textures.

Check out their selection on paulmayerattitudes.com or visit their newly opened boutique in NYC on Third Avenue between 78th and 79th Street.
Designer Paul Mayer and me

I even had a chance to meet the man behind the brand, Designer Paul Mayer!

Paul Mayer started in the shoe industry at a young age working for Charles Jourdan, France’s most famous bottier at the time. From there, Paul went to Pancaldi in Bologna, Italy where he was able to gain experience with designer greats Manolo Blanhik and Walter Steiger. These experiences inspired him to start his eponymous line in 1981. Since then Paul’s main goal has been to design shoes that help women look and feel special. His shoes have been exhibited in museums and featured in books and calendars such as the best selling "Shoes" by Linda O’Keefe.

"Our shoes are modern classics. They’re an addiction. They are truly forever timeless.”- Paul Mayer

The room was decorated with Paul Mayer’s colorful selection of flats. I wanted each and every pair of shoes on display. As a busy city girl I always keep a pair of flats in my bag when running in between fashion meetings or to events.
