DINNER IS SERVED- by Rolise Rachel, At The Lair of Philippe Burke

My lovely friend Rolise Rachel from Social Life Magazine invited me to her private dinner party at the Upper West Side home of her friend Phillipe Burke.

Around 30 of Rolise’s and Phillipe’s friends joined the intimate gathering that evening.

Spring weather was in full swing in New York so I saw the perfect opportunity to wear my Eliza J red dress with my favorite Michael Kors black heels.

A lot of the guests were entrepreneurs and it was fascinating to meet each one. Rolise’s dinner menu included salmon and potatoes with a honey & shaved ginger soy sauce.

“What should you bring?” the invitation read. “Just smiles and tall tales, nothing else.” Indeed, it was a night full of just that…

Rolise was the perfect hostess. Making her rounds around the room she made sure to make each guest feel welcome.

Rolise introduced me to The Beach Glass, an outdoor drinking glass. The wine connoisseur in me was doing summersaults just thinking about using this baby on the beach. The patent-pending ball and pointed stem design holds itself upright. Not just for the beach, this unique, free-standing glass will hold your drink in snow, grass, sand or wherever else you stake it. How cool?!

A few of the guests congregated for a group shot.

Jewelry Mina Deutsch stopped to chat with our lovely host Rolise.

I had the pleasure of talking with a fellow European entrepreneur/model named Ingrid Gregus. Ingrid was telling me about her health/nutrition consulting business where she works to help clients set goals and make sustainable changes that improve health and happiness.

The view from Phillipe’s Upper West Side Apt was quite an unforgettable scene. This photo doesn’t do the view justice. I wish I snapped a shot during the day light so you could clearly see the storybook view of Central Park.

Finally it was time for dinner! Rolise served her homemade ginger & honey whipped potatoes with baked wild salmon in a teriyaki, ginger honey sauce. I can imagine it was quite a fete cooking for 30 guests.

The dinner was absolutely delectable and it was such a treat to meet so many interesting new friends.

Thank you so much Rolise for having me! :)
