ELEQT, a luxury social network for the world’s trendsetters held a “Fall into Spring” event at The Sanctuary Hotel rooftop in New York. The event featured a special fashion show with Mina D Jewelry’s new Spring collection.
Mina Deutsch is
the gifted designer behind the sumptuous Mina D Couture Jewelry collections.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, she began her career in the New York City Diamond
District, working for a high-end diamond firm for over 20 years. With her vast
experience and firsthand knowledge of both diamonds and semiprecious jewelry,
creating her own line would come as a natural next step on her career path.
Mina creates unique pieces because she believes jewelry
should be one of a kind and as unique as the women who wear them. Her
collections comprise unique, exquisite jewelry designed with pearls,
semiprecious and precious stones such as garnet, aquamarine, amethyst, precious
and natural stones such as agate, amazonite, jadeite and chalcedony, to name just
a few.
It was such a pleasure to meet Mina Deutsch in person.
Dressed in a long purple gown and adorned in her own jewelry collection, Mina
looked every bit the glamorous designer.
Her inspiration for her collection originated not only from
the fashion that comes down the runway each season, but also from her love of
travel, especially the ocean and beaches, the muse behind her Ocean Dreams and
Calming Blue Collections.
We chatted for a
little bit before she resumed her fashion show duties.
Next, I ran into my lovely new friend Rolise Rachel from Social Life magazine.
I met Rolise a few months ago at the Chabad North Haven in The Hamptons benefit. I was so excited to come over and say
hello; although by that point in the evening I literally couldn’t say much as I
was terribly sick with bronchitis. (Note to self: next time stay in bed).
My friend Martha and I also had a chance to meet Estelle Kiora, a top blogger from Singapore. Estelle writes a fun blog called LoveMeWrongTime.com and also stars on The Amazing Food Challenge which is featured on the Asian Food Channel. Estelle was visiting New York that week to work on a project. Singapore is on my list of countries to visit, so hopefully we will meet again soon! :)
Finally, Mina’s fashion show started and guests gathered
around to see and snap pictures. One of my favorite pieces was the above royal blue
necklace. I pictured myself wearing this baby with a coral dress to a Summer
party in the Hamptons.
