My Best Friend Robyn's Wanderlust Themed Birthday: Caravan Stylist Studio with World Famous Mentor Doron Libshtein, Le Marais and Venetian Mask Party

This year for my best friend Robyn’s Birthday I threw a Wanderlust themed Birthday, creating destinations for her to visit throughout the day.

This included a trip to New York City, Paris, and finally Italy for a Venetian themed after party. Deep within Robyn’s soul there is always an urge to get up and go, an innate fondness to journey, and not be mundane. She’s constantly seeking new adventures, and has an acquiesce desire to visit and explore new places like journeying all over Europe, living in Miami, and many other far away places.

Every year we always create special themes for each others Birthdays. It was a challenge to top the epic selfie themed Birthday she threw me last year, but I think I did a pretty good job this year. :)

Let me start with how I've developed a new found respect for party planners. There is so much involved in planning a good themed party, and it's all in the finite details. It's incredibly stressful to ensure that every minute of a party is just how you've envisioned it to be, but I'm happy to report that my first big 3 themed party was executed (almost) flawlessly.

One of my favorite parts of the Birthday planning process was picking out decorations for Robyn's Venetian themed after party. I was very meticulous in my selection, like buying only golden rimmed champagne glasses, golden plates, and of course venetian masks.

Our friend Gene graciously let me use his apt on the upper east side to host the after party. I woke up bright and early that Wednesday and got to work on decorating his apt. Everything came together perfectly, and I couldn't have been more pleased for pulling everything together.

I finished just in time, and took a cab down to the Gregory Hotel to meet Robyn, and kick off the first part of her Birthday at Caravan Stylist Studios in NYC.

Caravan Stylist Studios was hosting a special event with famous world mentor, Doron Libshtein from the Mentors Channel. Doron founded the Mentors Channel on which over 100 mentors from around the world help you choose a free meditation program, at the end of which you can decide whether you want to purchase.

Doron's Mentor Channel has been featured by Oprah, and Deepak Chopra to name a few, and over one million people are currently subscribed.

Doron Libshtein is the mentor to the world’s top mentors, and it was such an honor for us both to meet him for a private one-on-one session on lessening our stress, and living the life we've always dreamed.

As chairman and founder of Mentors Channel (www.mentorschannel.com), Libshtein has established a thriving interactive community where the world’s best mentors and coaches help millions of people live fuller, richer lives. Libshtein built his leadership and interpersonal skills during 14 years as a senior executive at Microsoft in London. He also served for two years as CEO of MSN Israel. Throughout his tenure in these positions, he sought to harness the power of technology to improve the wellbeing of people everywhere.

Doron asked us to tell him what we wanted most out of life, and describe our perfect day. He spoke about envisioning ourselves already being that person who's achieved everything we described, and living our lives as so, with nothing standing in our way. He emphasized how important it is to act and feel like the person who've already achieved those things in the 'feel and act' method. It's what he did to creative a multi-million dollar empire, already being the person he wanted and living his dreams.

Mentors Channel is just one of Doron's projects. Most recently, Doron introduced the WellbeTM, the world’s first stress therapy biofeedback bracelet and app. The device gauges the wearer’s individual stress level, and then provides customized meditation, breathing and other exercises for immediate relief. The WellBe bracelet measures your pulse, and when your body is overly stressed, it sends you a text message that says something like: Now would be a good time to take a break from whatever it is you’re doing that is raising your stress level, and instead meditate or do focused breathing or guided imagination. The app offers seven-, 14- and 21-day programs from the Mentors Channel, which encourage you to adopt well-being as a habit and convert stress into calmness.

I put on the Wellbe to measure my stress levels, and after a few minutes Doron's app let us know my results, which were a staggering 98% stress level! Is this even human I remember asking him? While I was expecting a high number because I was pretty stressed about making sure everything was perfect for Robyn's Birthday, I certainly didn't expect it to be that high. Doron went over breathing techniques with me, and ways to calm my ever rising anxiety. It worked! We checked his app, and my stress levels decreased to 42%, a stark difference from the 98% I had just 30 minutes earlier.

The WellBe bracelet comes in a variety of colors and can be ordered with or without the flow symbol. It is made from cork, and when cork, or the bark of oak trees, is removed, no harm is done to the tree, which means the WellBe bracelet is an eco-friendly product.

After meeting with Doron, we were escorted to the main Caravan Stylist Studio room where guests could get beauty treatments and a cranial massage with aromatherapy by AVIVI. We had the pleasure of meeting Kittredge Watson, one of the founders of the company.

Avivi products are natural, vitamin rich, and paraben-free. Their products leave your skin feeling soft, hydrated, and silky smooth.

One of my favorite Avivi products was the above tone body scrub, which has avocado oil infused with epsom, dead sea salts, and essential oils from mandarin red, lemon, white grapefruit, and tangerine to promote balance and revitalize skin.

Belvoir refreshments were on-hand for guests to keep cool. I absolutely love this drink with its floral taste of soft rose petals that blends beautifully with the delicate scent of Elderflowers. It's literally the most perfect Summer refreshment!

Next, Valerie from Caravan Stylist Studio worked her magic for a brilliant summer braid for Robyn.

It's such a privilege to get your hair done by Valerie, who's not only a master at her craft, but one of the most renowned celebrity stylists. I couldn't have been more thankful that she carved out time to help me make Robyn's day that much more special with an awesome braid and manicure.

After our 'NYC' trip, it was off to Paris for Robyn! I booked a party reservation at one of the best parisian steakhouses, Le Marais for an epic dinner party.

We had the best table in the restaurant, and it was great to see all of our friends come together to celebrate Robyn's Birthday.

As a big foodie I was really excited to try as much food at Le Marais as possible. I started with the steak tartare appetizer. It didn't look that appetizing as it was pretty raw (obviously), but was surprising good! Admittedly though, I'd prefer a tuna tartare instead!

For dinner I ordered a porterhouse steak, and fries. It was literally one of the best dinners I've had in NYC so far. Definitely would love to go back to Le Marais again!

After dinner we went to Robyn's final Birthday destination, Italy for an epic Venetian mask after party back at the apt I decorated earlier that day. I was really happy to see that one of the masks I picked out for her matched her look perfectly.

I kept my mask pretty simple with red lace. (Really need an excuse to wear this baby again!)

Robyn's Birthday cake presentation also came together perfectly with the golden candles and serving platter I picked out.

Our friend Sybil graciously helped with bringing out the strawberry cake we picked out, and we all sang happy Birthday.

One of my favorite gifts that I got Robyn was the above Paris/Roma handbag, which was meant for her to remember her 'Paris' and 'Italy' Birthday trips.

Happy Birthday best friend, I hope you enjoyed your wanderlust Birthday as much as I did putting it together. Cheers to many more happy occasions and epic memories!
