ADAM SS12 Fashion Show: Effortless Park Avenue Chic

I’m a firm believer that every fashion show tells a story. As I watched the ADAM Spring/Summer 2012 collection I pictured the models on the runway as socialites gracing down Park Avenue en route to an afternoon brunch on a warm spring day.

In his own words the designer Adam Lippes describes being inspired by the energy of the West Chelsea neighborhood where they have their design studio. He was mesmerized this summer by watching their “runway in the sky,”  the High Line…the juxtaposition of the strong colors of the individuals passing by against the fresh light and backdrop. This led to a feeling that this Spring should be - even more than usual - for a confident woman who knows how to make an effortless statement.

I was very privileged to sit front row at the show and snapped some really incredible pictures. Major trends included florals, pops of color, polka dots and sheer material. The collection was overall ultra feminine and definitely embodied a confident woman who knows exactly what she wants.
