Tijorie's Treasure Chest of Designer Indian Jewelry

Imagine a treasure chest full of unique and rare jewelry from India. This is the very essence of Tijorie. I recently had a chance to see Tijorie's jewelry trunk show in New York City. It was filled with one of kind statement pieces by India’s top up and coming designers like Suhani Pittie, Valliyan by Nitya Arora, Made by M and Nishkara.
Natasha Mehta, Alina Fayer, Anisha Datwani

Tijorie was founded by Natasha Mehta and Anisha Datwani in October 2012. Their mission was to expose chic, fashion forward New Yorker's to a distinctive new vision exploding within the Indian design world with a series of curated, highly-selective jewelry trunk shows.

The Tijorie trunk show featured an array of gorgeous jewels. There were so many pieces that completely blew me away. In particular I was really smitten by the above jeweled cuffs. The carefully placed stones reminded me of something an ancient royal would most likely wear.

There was so many statement pieces to choose from in Tijorie's selection. Personally, I'm a huge fan of statement jewelry because it's an easy way to accessorize an outfit. Whether it's a necklace, earrings or bracelet you only really need one to make a statement. Obviously I broke one of my golden fashion rules when I tried on both their chunky bracelet and necklace!

Natasha brought over these unique side ear earrings which she is modeling in the photo. I've never seen anything quite like them.

Next, I spotted this other fabulous statement necklace that was made with strategically hooked Indian coins.

Finally, I saw these lovely clutches made of unique materials by Pia Dargani for Clutches of Karma. If you're a fan of wearable art like me this would definitely be something you would like.

Tijorie is currently in the process of launching their website but in the meantime you can "Like" them on Facebook!

  1. Gorgeous, unique treasures. I must say that they remind me of many things I bought in Istanbul... the crocheted necklaces, big braclets with jewels etc. Fabulous things.
