I Love My Chloé Eau de Parfum!

I’m completely in love with my Chloé perfume. It’s officially my every day scent and I won’t leave the house without putting some on. I first discovered this amazing perfume when a friend of mine was wearing it and told me the name. The next day I rushed to Lord & Taylor to pick some up. I ended up buying two of the scents which were the original Chloé and Love, Chloé. My absolute favorite out of the two is the original Chloé which has the most luxurious and romantic smell that lasts all day. The original Chloé came in a holiday set which also included body lotion and a mini version of the perfume. As a free gift with my purchase I was also given a mini Chloé wallet which I adore.

Women 2.0 Founder Friday Networking Event At Google

Networking is one of the most valuable things you could do for yourself. You never know who you’re going to meet in life and how powerful of an asset that connection might be. It truly doesn’t matter if you’re the CEO of a company or a young professional like myself as networking can be a tremendous help to anyone. Networking is the number one reason I love going to industry events and parties. Recently I went to the Women 2.0 Founder Friday event at the Google offices in New York.

I was excited to meet so many women entrepreneurs and leaders. I found it very amusing that 90% of the people I met were in fashion! It’s like fashion people are drawn to each other in an invisible magnetic fashion force. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating but it really felt like it. Another explanation could be that most of the people in fashion were dressed to the T so that could also be the reason! At any rate I was excited to meet so many like minded women entrepreneurs. I attended the event as press but I truly envision myself running a company of my own one day and for this reason I’m attending another Women 2.0 Founder event again this coming Friday December 2nd.

Wearing A Dress by David Meister

I can never resist an opportunity to dress up. Before I attend an event I always go on an exhilarating journey of finding the perfect outfit for the occasion. In this case the event was a wedding and I needed to find the perfect dress. I had a vision in my head of something conservative yet elegant. I searched the racks high and low at Lord & Taylor until I came across this long sleeve metallic cocktail dress by David Meister.
This long-sleeved textured metallic knit cocktail dress has soft side shirring and is trimmed with double crystal appliqués along the neckline. It was one of the first dresses that I tried on and I knew it would be the perfect one to wear. The dress fit like a glove and made me feel like a million bucks. I could have gone the total conservative route and paired the dress with black heels but I decided to tap into my unconventional style side and opted in for bright blue pumps instead.

My Fashion Week Outfits Revealed

Dressing up for Fashion Week is one of the most exciting things to me and I take it very seriously. This season in particular I had to put my best shoe forward since for the first time I was representing myself and this blog. Seasons prior I had always written for someone else and this time it was thrilling to finally branch out on my own and be recognized as worthy press. I usually begin my wardrobe preparations a few weeks in advance but this time I started planning 4 months prior! I always like to find interesting pieces that bring out my personality which consists of classy mixed with unconventional.

The above dress I'm wearing is my favorite color, coral! Coral is such a vibrant color and it was perfect to wear during the warm September days. I had actually worn the dress once before when I taped All On The Line with Joe Zee, the creative director of Elle magazine. When I was on the Tyra Banks show few years ago a producer gave me the tip of always wearing something bright when you go on camera.

This dress was definitely one of the most fun dresses to wear. A fabulous designer called Chevelish was nice enough to let me borrow it. I'm a huge fan of unique pieces and I immediately fell in love with this dress the minute she sent me the preview. It's very Lady Gaga like no?
This cheetah print dress was another fun piece to wear. You can't really tell from the picture but it has an interesting fringe on the top. I paired it with my favorite brown floppy hat, aviator sunglasses and my knee high black boots.

I really liked the texture on this dress. I was going for the Barbie Doll look with bright pink lipstick, chunky costume jewelry and my favorite black wedges.

Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day? This was one of my favorite looks to style. I was going for the modern day take on a Victorian outfit. I first purchased the white shirt which reminded me of the monarchy since it had a high collar, accentuated shoulders and flowing bottom. I was originally trying to find red shorts to pair the shirt with but when I saw this red skirt I knew it would be the perfect match. The final touch was wearing my white Emilio Pucci sunglasses.

NYFW Tent Style: Stylish Mom and Daughter

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week wouldn't be the same without this fashion duo. Fashion Week regulars Julia and her adorable daughter Tesa are always dressed to the T and this time was no exception. I snapped this cute photo of them by the the TRESemme hair styling lounge. Julia was wearing a bright yellow top with cowel neck and a pink skirt. Tesa the mini fashion plate was dressed in a striped outfit.

Son Jung Wan SS12 Fashion Show: Simplistic Elegance

The Son Jung Wan Spring/Summer 2012 collection opened with a neutral base of colors like cream and white. The collection became more daring with richer colors like blue and gold. Other colors included navy, charcoal, taupe, grey, silver and metallic. The selection of materials varied from silk, satin, linen, cotton, sequins and even leather.

The unisex looks were mixed with versatile pieces that exemplified a specific time in a person’s life from work to play and everything in between.

My favorite pieces were the gold sequin sleeveless short jumper and the metallic brown silk blouse with metallic brown sequined skirt. The collection overall was all about simplistic elegance with well thought out structure and the right amount of details.
