New York Fashion Week Diary F/W15 Day 4: Wearing Kevin V. Thai and CHUCHU NY

I went with a royal theme for day 4 of New York Fashion Week, wearing another cool CHUCHU NY fascinator, Kevin V. Thai sheer strip top and flared royal lace skirt.

I finished the look with a Natori golden cuff and my favorite spiked boots. The look was very 1940’s meets Asian fusion royalty. I like to mix things up! ;)

Everything went together very well, but I seriously miss my long blonde ombre hair. Out of all the hairstyles I've tried over the years this was by far my favorite. Unfortunately, I had to cut it all off as it became too damaged and my last stylist couldn’t fix it. I'm really looking forward to growing out my hair in the coming months and hopefully going back to a similar hairstyle!

New York Fashion Week Diary F/W15 Day 3: Wearing Kevin V. Thai and CHUCHU NY

Day 3 of New York Fashion Week was my favorite for a multitude of reasons that included seeing Zang Toi's fashion show, wearing a fun outfit and meeting new fashion friends.

I wore a Kevin V. Thai dress, CHUCHU NY fascinator and BCBG heels. This was a super last minute outfit composition, and by last minute I mean 30 minutes before my shows at fashion week! My friends at Kevin V. Thai brought me this incredible piece and it just happened to go perfectly with the red CHUCHU NY fascinator I was planning to wear that evening. I'm almost always last minute but this was definitely pushing it. Luckily the look came together even better than the ones I had actually planned!

I was absolutely in love with the dress the second I put it on. Kevin V. Thai is known for the most exquisitely structured and designed pieces for both men and women. The dress I wore that night made me feel powerful, sexy and sophisticated. These three words I think are an adequate description of Kevin’s brilliant work.

Notice the awesome zipper on the side of my dress. As the night progressed I couldn’t help to adjust it a little bit higher! ;) I was such a lucky girl to have a chance to wear this awesome piece.

The CHUCHU NY red fascinator gave this look the fun element I always try to infuse into the outfits I put together. I love pushing the limits and creating unconventional, fun looks. Fascinators have always been something I wanted to incorporate into my fashion week style and this season I was very lucky to have found fabulous CHUCHU NY pieces. My ultimate dream is to wear fascinators to the fashion week shows in London, where they’re a bit more popular than here in New York.

Zang Toi’s ‘Mystique Beauty of Venice’ Fall 2015 Collection

Every season for the past few years I’ve been lucky to be invited to Zang Toi’s fashion show. Anyone who’s seen his work can attest to the fact of how fortunate they’re to get a live glimpse of the granular details, sparkles, feathers, luxe furs and any other befitting decorations that adorn his many works of art.

Work of art is certainly an ideal word to describe a Zang Toi design. His Fall 2015 collection ever so perfectly captured the romantic and mysterious essence of Venice. Appropriately titled “Mystique Beauty of Venice”, the collection demonstrated Zang’s heavy weight craftsmanship through each majestic Italian themed look.

New York Fashion Week Diary F/W15 Day 2: Wearing Natori

My day two look for New York Fashion Week was all about subtle glamour. I wore a Natori dress, my favorite big sunnies and heels. The outfit was composed of all black and white so I wore red lipstick to bring a pop of color to the look.

If I could choose only one lipstick color red would definitely be it. There is something so sexy and glamorous about red lipstick and it can easily adorn any outfit.

Mark and Estel's 'Stairway To The Stars' Fall/Winter 2015 Collection

One of my favorite shows this season was Mark and Estel who brilliantly combined music and fashion into an unforgettable collection called ‘Stairway to the Stars’. This is also the name of one of the songs Mark and Estel made while making the new collection.

This season Mark and Estel sent spectacularly long capes, lots of cool plaid variations, bold graphic print blouses, jumpsuits and flowing dresses down the runway.

Mark Tango and Estel Day are both fashion designers and music artists. Combining their passions, they create fashion and music under one name Mark and Estel, the band and the brand.

Mark and Estel made fashion and music history as the first fashion designers ever to perform their own songs live on the runway in September 2013, during their RTW debut at Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week, New York.

Their fashion collections are created to be wearable versions of their music, and they create and perform all of the music for their runway shows.

Of course this season was no exception as Mark and Estel performed one of the coolest post show performances that I’ve ever seen!

New York Fashion Week Diary F/W15 Day 1: Wearing Natori and CHUCHU NY

The first day of New York Fashion Week is always an exciting time. The night before I was meticulously going through my wardrobe options for the week, and more importantly for the first day. My look for day one included an epic CHUCHU NY fascinator. CHUCHU NY makes couture millinery/accessories and is based in New York. They design and create exquisite one-of-a-kind headwear, custom made hat and jewelry for all occasions.

I paired the fascinator with a white Natori dress that matched the snowy tundra which had covered the city a few days prior. I've always wanted to wear a cool fascinator to fashion week and this season I was thrilled to find the perfect one. (Stay tuned for more posts featuring the rest of the CHUCHUNY fascinators I wore the rest of the week!)

Coincidently I ended up matching the E! sign inside the fashion week tents. It’s always been a personal dream of mine to do more red carpet hosting gigs... E! team, hire me! ;)

Mark and Estel’s Sneak Peek Party For Their ‘Stairway to the Stars’ Fall/Winter 2015 Collection

Mark and Estel, the rock star designers of their namesake brand held an epic party dubbed ‘bubbles & bites’ for editors/bloggers to get a sneak peek of their new Fall/Winter 2015 collection before it hit the runway a few days later at Lincoln Center. This was one of my favorite fashion week memories by far as I’ve never had a chance to see a designer’s collection BEFORE its official runway debut.

I was equally excited for a chance to meet the famous designer duo, Mark and Estel. Both were exceptionally sweet and had such a cool rock star vibe about them. They are the kind of people you wish you could spend hours and hours with as they would always keep you endlessly entertained.

Mark Tango and Estel Day launched their fashion brand “Mark and Estel” in Los Angeles in 2005. Made in the USA, the Mark and Estel fashion line boasts signature fashion tees, flowing dresses and iconic cut-out leggings alongside ready to wear jackets and separates. The duo’s rocker style and love of music signaled the simultaneous launch of their band “Mark and Estel,” and their fashion/music hybrid quickly became their brand signature.

In 2009, Mark and Estel garnered further recognition when they custom made their ‘Ripped & Holey Leggings’ for Lady Gaga on her Fame Ball Tour. Mark and Estel’s rockerchic yet incredibly comfortable silhouettes continue to count fashionistas and sporty girls as their customers, alongside music and fashion celebrities including Kendall Jenner and Kelly Osbourne.

Emily Cho Fall 2015 Luxury Handbag Preview + MySpa2Go Pre-Fashion Week Pampering

The day before fashion week my lovely friend and Celebrity Stylist Lauren Rae Levy hosted a fabulous soiree to preview Emily Cho’s new Fall 2015 collection at the Dream Hotel in New York.

The event featured complimentary manicures and reiki sessions by MySpa2Go, a luxury, premier mobile spa service that provides beauty and wellness services.

Lauren came over to greet me and show me around. It’s always so lovely to see her during fashion season. Aside from being extraordinarily adept at what she does, Lauren is also one of the nicest people in the business. We chose our favorite Emily Cho handbag for our photo together. I picked the black tote bag since my look that day consisted of a black top and my favorite checker print pencil skirt by Natori.

Natori Fall/Winter 2015 Fashion Show: A Journey To Istanbul

It’s always exciting to be invited to Josie Natori’s fashion show. This season Josie Natori presented her Fall/Winter 2015 collection at the DiMenna Center, where the setting was defined by a square floor, illuminated by outlined lights.

Josie Natori's Fall/Winter 2015 collection took us on a journey to Istanbul, the historic crossroads where East meets West. There, Josie was inspired by fabric bazars, spice souks, brass markets, and whirling dervishes. The Fall 2015 collection reflects an explosion of art and culture felt on every ancient and modern street in this ever-dynamic city.

Josie’s newest collection featured standout chartreuse, black, white, mauve and cornflower blue colors that are blended flawlessly with an array of luxurious fabrics including silk knit, cashmere, pane velvet, felting, silk brocade, wool quilting, and rabbit furs.

The rich textures and intricate embroidery showed extravagant embellishments that create more dimension and definition. The Istanbul inspired collection also introduced new silhouettes with full skirts, blanket shawls, redefining capes, and higher necklines.

Betsey Johnson's Epic Baubles and Bubbly Party

A week or so ago I received an email from Betsey Johnson’s team inviting me to her Baubles & Bubbly Cocktail party in NYC to celebrate her SS15 and FW15 jewelry collections. If you’re lucky enough to attend anything Betsey Johnson related then you know it’s going to be an over-the-top, unforgettable experience. I still remember going to her phenomenal 70th Birthday party/fashion show/concert by Cyndi Lauper. Yes, it was all three things at once!

Fast forward to last Thursday and it was finally the day of Betsey’s party. I rummaged through my closet to find something Betsey would approve of. Luckily, I just got a new velvet blue dress with ruffled shoulders. I immediately thought it was SO Betsey! (I was right, Betsey did love my dress!). I paired the look with black tights, classic heels and a golden Natori cuff.

While en route to the party I re-read my invitation which mentioned champagne, treats and a sneak peek of Betsey’s new jewelry collection. I couldn’t wait to see what fun surprises were in-store this time!
